Ryan Enn Hughes is a Motion Picture Director and Portrait Photographer based in Toronto, Canada.

Ryan’s motion picture work is centred in exploring new imaging technologies and alternative production methods. He is a recipient of a Chalmers Arts Fellowship and a commissioned filmmaker for The 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. Most recently, Ryan has partnered with The National Film Board of Canada to develop an interactive art project based on his video art piece "The 360 Project".

Ryan’s photography is centred in portraiture and documentary work. His clients include The New York Times, The Guardian, The Canadian Press, Report On Business Magazine, The Globe and Mail, The Canadian Armed Forces, The Canadian Football League, TD Bank Financial Group, St. Josephs Media, The University of Toronto, Ryerson University, Magenta Publishing, Sunnybrook Hospital, and Facebook. Ryan’s work has been recognized and awarded by a diverse set of organizations, including PDN Magazine (Digital Pix Multimedia Winner 2009 and 2010), The Magenta Foundation (Grand Prize Winner of The Show Your Ontario Photography Contest), The Eddie Adams Workshop (New York Times Photography Prize), The Ontario Arts Council (Visual Arts Grant 2008 and Media Arts Grant 2009), and The Flash Forward Festival (Selected Photographer 2010).
