End of The Year

Filed under: Color Grading, photography — ryan enn hughes @ 7:11 pm

2009 has been a very solid year. Much done. I’m excited about 2010 and what’s in the works. This entire month I’ve been handling the business back end of my work – prepping for a 6 month self-directed Chalmers Arts Fellowship that I’ll be starting in February 2010. Happy New Year!

I spent last weekend in Calgary shooting a project for the CFL during Grey Cup Weekend. “The Fan Portrait Project” aims to showcase the character of fans of The Canadian Football League. Here’s a link to the final project. As well as a link to a timelapse of the project unfolding run by Photographer Chris Bolin. The tent image below is where we set up our studio for Day 2 – up against the East Wall of McMahon Stadium.

While I was in Calgary shooting The Fan Portrait Project for the CFL, I got a chance to cover a bit of the actual game and aftermath. The Montreal Alouettes last second victory over the Saskatchewan Rough Riders made for an electric atmosphere to document. Below is an image from The Alouettes’ locker room.
